Join the Jewish Federation of Dutchess County, the Poughkeepsie Public Library District, and the Jewish Book Council for an evening with author Elizabeth R. Hyman as she discusses The Girl Bandits of the Warsaw Ghetto.

Drawing on extensive historical research, Hyman uncovers the remarkable stories of young Jewish women whose courage, ingenuity, and determination helped them navigate the brutal realities of Nazi occupation and the Warsaw Ghetto. Their experiences offer a powerful and often overlooked perspective on survival, moral courage, and Jewish resistance during the Holocaust.

This conversation will explore the lives of these extraordinary women, the challenges they faced, and the lasting significance of their stories in understanding Holocaust history and preserving Jewish memory.

Books will be available for purchase at the event. Free and open to the public. Registration is requested.
